Intentionally Seeking Adventure
Billy also has a passion for the culinary world, whether he’s experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen or discovering the latest restaurants. Above all, he cherishes time spent with his sons—one proudly serving as a Second Lieutenant in the Marine Corps, another excelling in college, and his youngest in seventh grade.
Billy Skinner has been a dedicated attorney since 2007, with a strong commitment to helping people through difficult legal challenges. Over the years, he has served as lead counsel in more than 30 jury trials in both State and Federal Courts. Billy’s extensive jury trial experience spans a wide range of cases, including felony murder, Medicare-Medicaid fraud, protection orders, as well as a wide variety of criminal and family law matters.
In the summer of 2023, Billy transitioned from Texas to Colorado, where he is now expanding his practice. Prior to relocating, he founded and ran the Law Offices of BillySkinner in Texas for 14 years, specializing in criminal defense and advocating for the rights and futures of his clients. He is deeply passionate about standing up for people’s rights, their families, and their livelihoods, especially during times of crisis.
Before becoming a lawyer, Billy worked in advertising and marketing, and served as an adjunct professor at St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas. These experiences have given him a unique approach to legal strategy, combining creativity, clear communication, and a deep understanding of the impact legal issues can have on clients’ lives.
Billy is known for his honesty, directness, and compassion. He takes the time to understand his clients’ needs and goals, then creates tailored strategies to help them achieve the best possible outcome.
